Fun Family Friendly Dining in Wisconsin Dells - Minnesota Yogini (2024)

Wisconsin Dells is a great place for a family vacation. The entire town is set up with families in mind. In this blog I am going to share a variety of our favorite family friendly dinging options in the Dells! Your kids will LOVE these places =)

The Grateful Shed Truckyard

Location: 1470 Wisconsin Dells Pkwy, Wisconsin Dells, WI 53965

We absolutely loved the Grateful Shed Truckyard. This is a super fun building full of food trucks. There are three lunch/dinner trucks and one dedicated to desserts (which I’ll touch on later). The three options of trucks are a Asian themed truck with amazing sushi and rice bowl options. A taco truck with everything you would expect, and a grilled cheese truck! It was very easy to find options for us and our kids. Besides the great food what makes this place so fun is the décor. Super fun! There are a variety of fun seating options, from in a city bus overlooking the restaurant, to in little VW vans! From the minute you walk in here, it is a fun atmosphere. The kids loved it here and kept asking to go back, which we did, I think three times on our last trip! lol 😉

Buffalo Phils

Location: 150 Gasser Rd, Lake Delton, WI 53940

Buffalo Phil’s is a favorite of our families. At this restaurant they deliver your food by train! Yes, for real! It’s super fun. The food is good too! My husband and I typically get the buffet, which is filled with a ton of options including, salad, pizza and pastas. The kids each order from the kids menu. The typical grilled cheese, mac and cheese type meals. When you order from the buffet you do not get your meal by train, so while they do offer a kids option for the buffet we always have them order from the menu. Currently they have a LEGO city to look at that the train circles. Its really a fun and unique dining experience. It is also conveniently located in the same building as Knuckleheads, which is a really fun family option for indoor play. We visited Buffalo Phil’s this past summer and winter and loved it both times. In the summer we celebrated my birthday there and we got a bubble train! Monks Bar & Grill

Two Locations: 220 Broadway, Wisconsin Dells, WI 53965 & 33 Hillman Rd, Lake Delton, WI 53940

Monks is a pretty typical sports bar, but the food was surprisingly great! I had a wonderful flatbread and my husband had a burger, both were really good! The reason we came to Monks was for the kids. The kids meals are served on frisbees that they get to keep. We knew this would be a hit with our kids, and it totally was!

Bobbers Island Grill

Location: 750 Wisconsin Dells Pkwy S, Wisconsin Dells, WI 53965

Bobbers Island Grill is an awesome place to go with kids, especially in the summer months. They have a great patio complete with a big sandbox for the kids and a variety of other games to keep the kids entertained while you wait for your food. It was great because the kids were so amused we were able to sit back and have a nice relaxing after dinner drink, or 2 😉 This restaurant also has an arcade inside, cute chairs for photo ops, and each kid gets a balloon! Tons of extras here! It is really like a destination as well as a restaurant. The food does not disappoint either! We had a great time!

Moose Jaw Pizza & Brewing

Location: 110 Wisconsin Dells Pkwy S, Wisconsin Dells, WI 53965

Moose Jaw Pizza is another restaurant that is family friendly. The kids all get cute little headbands. They of course loved them. The pizza was excellent. My daughter was super excited because they had spaghettios on the kids menu. Ha. It was a great place to stop for a quick and delicious lunch.

The Grateful Shed Truckyard

At the Grateful Shed they have one food truck that is all treats and desserts. We made a stop for treats after a long day exploring the Dells. The kids loved it of course, and we loved that we could get a drink at the bar while they enjoyed their treats.

Bobbers Ice Cream

Location: 750 Wisconsin Dells Pkwy S, Wisconsin Dells, WI 53965

In front of Bobbers Island Grill is a free standing adorable little ice cream shack. They have a great patio and some games to play while you enjoy your sweet treat!

Goody Goody Gum Drop Candy Kitchen

Location: 401 Broadway, Wisconsin Dells, WI 53965

Goody Goody Gum Drop Candy Kitchen is the largest candy store in Wisconsin. They boast over 1000 kinds of candy. It has been in the Dells since 1975 and it is really an adorable little shop! They also sell handmade fudges, truffles, caramel apples, chocolates, saltwater taffy, rock candy, etc. So many delicious options! They also serve specialty coffees and they have ice cream! 😉
