New Year's Eve Tablescape in Black & Gold
This year,Mr. Delight and Iare planning to celebrateNew Year's Eve with a quiet dinner at home. Although we won't be out whooping it up, I still wanted the evening to feel special. With that in mind,I created a glitzy table for two in a cozy corner by the front windows.
Inspiration for the table began with this Cheers burlap bottle bag I purchased at a local gift store.
I tied ribbon around the bottle neck and added some sparkly picks at the top to make it look like overflowing champagne.
I received two of these glass hurricane vasesas aChristmas gift and filled them with various ornaments and curling ribbon for a New Year's Eve centerpiece.
The battery-operated fairy lights were purchased at the after Christmas sales and add terrific ambiance to the table.
These black spiky ornaments remind me of fireworks and what could be better for a New Year's Eve tablescape!
A bow-tie napkin fold is perfect for the occasion.
Champagne flutes are a must as well.
Brown metal starscoordinate with the gold ones on the tablecloth which is actually just a piece of sheer fabric.
Of course, in our house, Christmas is still going on and the Christmas tree makes a lovely backdrop.
I haven't decided yet but I might even move the table so that it is in front of the tree like this which will give us more room.
I'm looking forward to having a quiet, cozy, romantic New Year's Eve at home.
Mr. D says he will cook the meal so that's even more of a reason to ...
Andat midnight, I might even give him a different kind of kiss than these...
Thanks for visiting!
