Does Jagex remove infernal capes? ›

Jagex will remove your cape.

An infernal cape is a superior variant of the fire cape awarded for completing the Inferno. It has over twice as many offensive bonuses as the fire cape, along with unrivaled defensive bonuses. In terms of overall bonuses, it is the most powerful melee cape in Old School Runescape.

As of 1 July 2024, there are 92,691 current members that have obtained an infernal cape. If the player dies below level 20 Wilderness, it will remain in the player's inventory; however, the item will be unusable and must be repaired by using it on Perdu and paying him 225,000.

In order to obtain the fire cape, players must survive all waves of TzHaar Fight Caves and defeat TzTok-Jad.

While it is possible to complete it without flicking, it is very highly recommended to do it to at least some extent. Some prayer flicking tips are self-explanatory for those experienced with it in other areas of the game, but some are specific to Inferno. For reference, one tick is 0.6 seconds.

The standard drop rate is 1/100, but this is increased to 1/75 if TzKal-Zuk is defeated while on a Slayer task. Players may also exchange their infernal capes by speaking to TzHaar-Ket-Keh for a 1/100 chance of obtaining the pet.

Like the other max cape variants (a max cape combined with another cape slot item), the infernal max cape does not have the max cape's stats or perks; it only acts as a cosmetic upgrade to the infernal cape. However, the cape can still be used to perform the skillcape emote.

The infernal max cape is the result of combining an infernal cape with a max cape, during which the max hood is required to be in the player's inventory and will automatically be converted to the infernal max hood.

There are 69 waves in total. Starting on wave 1, there are three pillars which the Jal-Nibs attempt to destroy. Each pillar has 255 hit points.

Completing the entire TzHaar Fight Caves gives about 130,000 experience in combat skills and about 45,000 experience in constitution, giving roughly 175,000 experience total for completing the fight caves, including Jad. This is a safe minigame, as you will keep all your items if you die.

The veteran cape (15 year) is one of the Capes of Distinction, available to accounts that were created on or before 16 July 2009. Accounts that are at least 15 years old can purchase the cape and hood from Hans at Lumbridge Castle for 150,000 coins.

The Inferno is a solo minigame that was added to Old School RuneScape on the 1 June 2017, along with an update to the city of Mor Ul Rek. The player must survive 69 increasingly challenging waves, ultimately killing the level 1400 TzKal-Zuk, to obtain the infernal cape.

The status of an account can be checked via the Account Status system. An account is in the green zone if it has no offences, though this changes through orange and red as offences accumulate. Bans may be temporary (for example for 24 hours) or permanent. Banned players are unable to log into the game at all.
