Some basic Be Our Guest Restaurant info

Is Be Our Guest Quick Service or Table Service?

Only lunch and dinner are offered at Be Our Guest and both of these meals served are categorized as Signature Table Service.

Lunch and dinner include a prix-fixe, 3-course menu featuring French-inspired dishes.

Be Our Guest Dining Rooms

There are 3 different dining rooms inside the restaurant. Keep in mind that you will be assigned a room — you don’t get to pick.

When lunch used to be Quick Service, you could pick your table and room. But, since both lunch and dinner are now Table Service, your table is selected for you.

The Grand Ballroom

This is the main room you see as you enter. It’s the largest and noisiest, but features falling snow which is lovely.

The West Wing

Off to one side of the Grand Ballroom is the West Wing, which is the darkest of the rooms and may be a little scary to some little ones. But, it is really fantastic with the enchanted rose that has falling petals.

It also has the portrait of The Beast that alternates between man and beast. This portrait change, along with the sound of thunder, occurs about every 20 minutes.

The Rose Gallery

Off to the other side of the Ballroom is the Rose Gallery. In this room, a 7-foot tall music box of Beauty and The Best spins and plays music.

Note: this room is not always open so you may not have it as an option during your visit.

Requesting a room

Have a particular room you’d like to dine in during your meal?

People dining at Be Our Guest Restaurant for lunch or dinner can ask for a specific room at the check-in desk. That said, there’s no guarantee the request will be granted, but they’ll try their best to accommodate you.

Lunch and Dinner at Be Our Guest

Lunch & dinner menu

Both lunch and dinner at Be Our Guest are a Signature Table Service meal. That “Signature Table Service” designation means that it is at the top end of prices for Walt Disney World.

Back in the olden days of the Disney Dining Plan, this used to be a pretty good use of a Table Service credit when it was 1 credit meal; however, now that it is a 2 Table Service credits experience it isno longer a good use of your credits.

The Be Our Guest lunch and dinner menus are exactly the same. They are also a fixed price format that includes an appetizer, main entree, and dessert. People paying out of pocket can expect to pay about $67 for adults and $39 for kids.

Getting reservations

Lunch and dinner reservations can be hard to get, but here are some ideas to help increase your odds.

Stay on-site

Onsite guests can make all dining reservations 60 days before their trip begins (it used to be 180 days) which can be a huge advantage for difficult dining reservations.

Book reservations in order of difficulty

If you’re staying onsite and making all of your dining reservations 60 days out, be sure to book them in order of difficulty and not chronological order. That means that Be Our Guest would always be one the first one you’d book, no matter when it falls during your trip.

Consider planning to eat at Be Our Guest toward the end of your trip.Since offsite guests won’t have access to those dates yet, your odds are better the later your dates are.

What if you can’t get the reservation?

If you aren’t able to get the reservation when you first trip, don’t give up. You can use a tool like MouseDining.com to alert you when openings pop up, or just keep randomly checking for openings.

Many dining reservations get cancelled even just the day before as people adjust their plans which is a great opportunity for you to snag a spot for your trip.

Join walk-up list

Many Disney World restaurants, including Be Our Guest, have a waitlist option that you can either join in the My Disney Experience app or in person.

If you don’t have luck snagging a reservation, this might be your next best bet. But, keep in mind, it’s not always a guarantee.

Seeing The Beast

You can see The Beast at both lunch and dinner at Be Our Guest.

Unlike before when guests could take photographs with him in a separate room, The Beast now roams through the restaurant and although you can’t touch him, you can try to snag a selfie as he goes by (depending where you’re sitting).

Be Our Guest Restaurant review/suggestion

In the past, lunch here would be Quick Service, but with Be Our Guest has transitioned to Table Service only for both lunch and dinner.

The most recent time we had lunch here was on August 11, 2023. While we once enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and overall experience here — we no longer do. Plus, Be Our Guest is pricey at $67 per adult and $39 per child.

Even though the price is high, you do get 3 full courses (appetizer, entree, and dessert) included. Sadly, in our experience, these aren’t great courses.

As of 2023, we don’t recommend dining here. Be sure to read our complete Be Our Guest review for more details and a breakdown of our lunch experience.

Breakfast at Be Our Guest (historical information)

  • Breakfast used to be offered at Be Our Guest, but hasn’t returned. We’re unclear if Be Our Guest will ever offer breakfast again, but we wanted to include the following information about how breakfast used to operate for research purposes and potential future planning.

Breakfast menu

Breakfast at Be Our Guest used to take place from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. daily. The Quick Service breakfast at Be Our Guest was a fixed-price meal and a great use of a Disney Dining Plan Quick Service credit.

The amount of food you got (especially all the pastries) was sometimes too much for one meal, so it was always a good idea to bring a Ziploc baggie to take extras with you to have later.

Getting reservations

Reservations at a Quick Service restaurant? Yep, that was an option here, and a requirement since it’s so popular and standby guests without reservations often can’t dine without one.

These reservations could be made 60 days ahead of time, just like all other dining reservations.

Pre-park opening reservations

Dining at Be Our Guest before the park opens was one of our favorite things since it was much quicker (especially if you pre-order!) than dining at a Table Service, and you could easily finish before Magic Kingdom officially opened for the day.

Pre-park opening time issues?

Many people used to say that Be Our Guest didn’t show pre-park opening dining times when they went to make their reservations, but here was a tip we used to offer:

Search by time (like 8:00 a.m.) and not meal (like “breakfast”).

For some reason, this seemed to be especially true at Be Our Guest where a breakfast search would often just show 9:00 a.m. and later.

What if Magic Kingdom opened at 8 a.m.?

So when you went to make your dining reservations, the Magic Kingdom schedule may have said the park opened at 9 a.m. and then it got switched to 8 a.m. after you already made your dining reservations.

That’s a thing that happens all the time as Walt Disney World adjusts hours to fit the crowds they are expecting.

That’s why it was often a good idea to make 2 reservations if you really wanted to eat breakfast here – 1 before park opening and 1 closer to 10:30. As your trip dates got closer, you could cancel the one you didn’t want.

A post-breakfast ride on Seven Dwarfs Mine Train?

Tips for dining at Be Our Guest Restaurant - WDW Prep School (12)

Yep! That often happened with people who ate at Be Our Guest and finished before the opening time. It was never a guarantee, but often a fun bonus.

Pre-order your breakfast

Disney also gave you the ability to pre-order your food from the My Reservations page from 5 minutes to 30 days before your reservation.

Doing this allowed you to skip part of the line which could save you a lot of time.

Did The Beast appear at breakfast?

No, the Beast did not appear at breakfast.
