Standard business card size
Standard business cards dimensions are 91 x 55 mm – but have you ever thought about why most cards are exactly that size and shape? You may have noticed that they generally all fit nicely into a wallet, purse or pocket. Gift cards, credit cards and licences are roughly the same size for just that reason.

We talked above about the benefits to going with a standard business card size, so let’s dig into when you might go for square business cards or rounded corner business cards.
Our square business cards size is 65 x 65 mm – the shape is great for putting a logo or product shot front and centre and they have a creative, interesting vibe. Design guidelines
We’ve got thousands of templates you can pick from to create your card – thanks to our amazing designers. But you can upload your own design, too. It’s as simple as selecting a file on your computer, but here are some important guidelines to keep in mind.
Note: These measurements are for standard business cards. Square and rounded corner cards, have similar bleed and safe printing areas in relation to their actual size. You can always check the details on our square and rounded corner business card product pages.
Bleed Area: 94 x 58 mm
If you’ve got a background colour or pattern, make sure it extends a bit beyond the actual size of the card. That way, you’ll never end up with white borders, even if the cards are cut slightly off centre.
Trim Size: 91 x 55 mm
Just like the name says, this is where we cut your cards. We do our absolute best to make sure all your cards are centred and uniform but be sure to read about the safe printing area.
Safe Printing Area: 88 x 52 mm
You probably have any important text or design elements within this area, which isn’t much smaller than the actual size of the card. To guarantee nothing gets cut off, keep everything inside this box.
Business Card Size in Pixels: 1075 x 650 pixels
If you or someone on your team is creating your card in a design program, the actual size of the card is 1075 x 650 pixels. However, the full bleed size is 1110 x 685 pixels, and the safe printing area is 1039 x 614 pixels.

- Maximise your logo
Your card is more than just your contact information—it’s a representation of you and your brand. Consider your logo size for your business card or even think about dedicating one side solely to your logo. - Leave some white space
Don’t clutter your card with too much text—if there are too many elements on the card, they’ll all compete for the reader’s attention and nothing will stand out. - Think dual-purpose.
