How to Keep Your Sanity

Keeping your sanity as a stay at home mom is really hard. In order to keep your sanity you need to create an easy stay at home mom schedule that is actually achievable – not so full of stuff to do that only superwoman could actually accomplish it all.

Be realistic. Your schedule doesn’t have to be complicated or take a long time to create, but you do need to write it down – at least until you get used to it.

Identify What Matters Most To You

Before we put together a schedule, you need to honest withyourself. Decide what matters most toyou as a mom. What things do you want tomake sure you make time for each day? These are the things that are specific just to you, that help you be thebest mom you can be.

Let me give you an idea of what I mean by this. For me, the 4 things that matter most to meand help me be the best mom I can be, that I want to fit into my stay at homemom schedule are: Time With God, Exercise (which for me is being outside, runningwith my dog and/or going on a couple walks), Work (blogging), and a littlealone time.

Now that you’ve looked at my sample schedule, you need to make your own. Because I know how busy you are, in order to help take one thing off your To-Do list, I made a blank version of My Schedule!

All you have to do is fill it in! It should only take a few minutes too! If you want to make life just a bit easier for you right now, go ahead and buy it now from my Shop.

The great thing about My Schedule is that it’s super quick to fill in and it looks great! In just a few minutes, you’ll have a nice looking schedule to hang up on your refrigerator! It’s up to you – you can use My Schedule, or make your own schedule using a white board, or a notebook.

Decide on the things that matter most to you, to include in each day. The things that help you be the best mom you can be. Usually these things would include exercise, a favorite hobby, time with God, self care, etc.

Decide on what those things are and add them to your daily schedule first. Then build everything else around those things. That way you ensure that you include the things that matter most to you into your day.

Self Care Is Important

Self care is very important! Trust me, it’s important for stay at home moms to include daily self care into their lives to keep up with being a stay at home mom. You will have so many demands placed on you and your schedule, that you need to include the things that help you be the best version of yourself, so you can be the best for your family too.

Using a white board, make a rough draft of your schedule. If you don’t have a white board, no problem. Write it out on paper, or type it up on your computer, or use My Schedule. Do whatever works best for you.
