Quite simply, everything. eClinicalWorks EHR/PM, PRISMA, Patient Portal, healow CHECK-IN™, and all other ancillary products are on the eClinicalWorks Cloud, powered by Microsoft® Azure®. This allows you to treat your patients and run your practice using our full suite of products, all without having to worry about servers, maintenance, updates, or storage space.
What Is Cloud Intelligence?
Cloud intelligence is the interconnectivity of the internet. It is PRISMA searching patient data from countless clinical and payer sources. It is the computational power of Azure making that data usable, insightful, and relevant to the current patient visit. It is value-based care and the ability to create to-do lists, allowing you plan future visits to ensure you close gaps in quality, coding, and patient care. Cloud intelligence is patient engagement, remote care, electronic prior authorization. It is all eClinicalWorks products — Scribe, Touch, Eva, and healow apps, healow TeleVisits, and electronic management of prescription medications — in the cloud.

As long as you have secure internet access, you can work from anywhere, anytime. As an eClinicalWorks Cloud customer, you can run the eClinicalWorks EHR/PM through Google Chrome, or if you prefer, the eClinicalTouch EHR for iPad®.
The Cloud Is Backed Up
Data backup is a critical function in today’s EHR-driven practices. Regular backups performed by your staff are time-consuming and costly. A move to the eClinicalWorks Cloud can eliminate this tedious task from your schedule by providing automatic backups.
The Cloud Is Up to Date
eClinicalWorks performs server-operating system upgrades and security updates during our scheduled maintenance window. The application version upgrades are performed during off-hours, so there’s no downtime for the practice.
The Cloud Is Safe (and Technical)
eClinicalWorks uses Microsoft Azure data centers located in different regions of the United States to achieve unprecedented resiliency and reliability. The Cloud provides independent and isolated backups to guard against accidental destruction of original data. Each client database is replicated in a failover site in another region. And data is encrypted both at rest and in transit for customers on the Cloud.
Azure Meets Industry Standards
Microsoft Cloud Services are audited against the Service Operation Controls (SOC) reporting framework by independent third-party auditors. The audit for Microsoft Cloud Services covers controls for data security, availability, processing integrity, and confidentiality as applicable to in-scope trust principles for each service.
Microsoft has achieved SOC1 Type II, SOC 2 Type II, and SOC 3 reports. In addition, Microsoft Azure has achieved HITRUST CSF Certification, one of the most widely recognized security certifications in the healthcare industry.
