How do refill requests work? ›

If receiving provider is on eCW, the referral goes directly into the Incoming Referral window in the “R" jelly bean and will have “P” icon on the left hand side 2. Click the referral to view the details and attachments and click CREATE REFERRAL button. The Incoming Referral screen will appear.

To log your Refill you'll need to open the Refill app either when you are at the Refill Station, or nearby. In the map you'll see the Station you're at, tap on the Station, select the Refill type(s), then tap 'Refill Now' – and there you have it.

So if you have a 30-day prescription, you can get your refill on day 23 — or 7 days early. Restrictions for controlled substances are often set by state laws or pharmacy policies, instead of insurance limits. It's common to see a 2-day window for refilling these types of medications early.

If you don't have any remaining refills for a prescription, contact your doctor. Your doctor might order some tests or ask to see you before renewing your prescription. Some states have rules that require you to visit your doctor or pharmacist before getting refills.

From within the Treatment window, click the drop-down carat next to the Send Rx or Print Rx button: 2. A drop-down menu will appear with 3 options. Select “ePrescribe Rx” (or Print Rx if capability to e- prescribe not available, or prescribing controlled substance as approved by CHM Provider leadership).

When a prescriber authorizes a refill request? ›

When a prescriber authorizes a refill request, the prescriber is allowed to change parts of the prescription and can send special instructions to the patient via the pharmacy, such as "an office visit is required before the next fill."

If they're open, speak to the pharmacist in your local community pharmacy or your GP practice to see if it's possible to get some of the medicine you've run out of. They'll be able to advise on next steps. In most cases, they'll be able to give a supply until you can get another prescription organised.

This statement means that the prescription can be refilled twice. If a date is specified after until, that means that the refills must be obtained on or prior to that date.

A refill shop sells non-packaged goods that you'd usually buy in your weekly shop. You only need to bring containers and bags you own to refill from their larger containers in the store.
